Just for those interested, attached is a plot showing the stability of the antenna current (slightly uncalibrated) during the > 2 hour portable transmission. The power cunsumption started at 487 W and dropped during the experiment, as expected from a battery :-) But, 2.38 A to 2.28 A is just -4.2 % after about 1 kWh taken from a 18 kg weighting battery. Ignore the dips in the plot, this can happen during an EbNaut transmission. The antenna current is measured by SpecLab, using a current transformer producing a small voltage across a low resistance, measured by one of the soundcard inputs. The level in Ampere can be calculated. This current tracking is also necessary to control and correct the phase in case of a phase glitch of the DAC or in case of a changing phase in the antenna...
