Hi Markus,

Are you monitoring from 4X? Is this maybe the actual reason why you ask for a daytime carrier? :-)
Well i started this 300 char transmission now. It could be a bit to optimistic to assume that it can be decoded after 1 day, but maybe... If not, then i would like to run it for another time tomorrow.
Are you there for a longer time? If you are monitoring from there, what is the equipment?

Hi Stefan,

as a pleasant surprise, your signal is now well visible on my suburban grabber in Nuernberg. I would be interested in a continuous carrier tomorrow to see whether propagation holds on in daylight at this time of the year. Of course the signal is also appearing on the DL0AO computer, only uploads to the grabber are currently failing due to a temporary network and firewall issue.

Betreff: VLF: A 300 char message?

Hi Paul,

Actually there is some time to try something during the daytime tomorrow. If you like, we could try a long 4K19A message. I prepared something:

f = 8270.1000 Hz
Start time: 04.November.2017  06:00:00 UTC (daily)
Symbol period: 5 s
Characters: 300
CRC bits: 16
Coding 4K19A
Duration: 10:11:20h
Antenna current: 600 mA

If you don't have time or would prefer to work on the hardware outside, just give me a short note, i would then stop the transmission.
