Hi Paul, ULF,

Wow, just amazing! Can't we say we already made it? Isn't it extremely unlikely that this is something elso than my signal??

A first signal detection by amateurs on the 101 km band between DL and UK!!!

I remember how the whole story has started, my small ferrite transformer, hand wound with 3000 turns, beeing able to run 3 kV on the antenna wire. Then the 6 week long carrier (or was it 7?). First detection in 3.5 km, then in 7.9 km, then the first far field detection in 17 km, then 31 km, then the first detection outside JN49, 65 km, then the first detection in France at 140 km, during the same time, signal reception in 303 km at DL4YHF..... Wolf was the first one except myselfe who copied the signal. Then the 1 week long trace on Renatos grabber in 5 wavelength distance.
And now, you made it in 8.8 wavelength distance!!!

I'm going to run the carrier another few days, at least until friday, i.e. 2 weeks!

BTW there is a new and even stronger peak on Renatos grabber: http://www.webalice.it/rromero/live_cumiana/last-LFtest_2970.jpg SNR is above 10 dB now, so i could try to run the first 2 character EbNaut message in a shorter time.

Between us, stacking daily messages will lead to a successful decode of a 5 character message, the absolute goal. I never expected to do more. There are no stations in higher distances. But wait, SQ5BPF is one!

The days quickly become longer now so this will even help?
Based on 12.8 dB in 55 uHz we can try 5 characters like: http://abelian.org/ebnaut/calc.php?sndb=12.8&snbws=0.000055&snmps=&code=16K25&sp=16&crc=18&nc=5&submit=Calculate

Many jobs! And there is several requests to 8.27 and 6.47 and 5.17 and 5.17>x<2.97 kHz... I have only one antenna though.
We need more transmit stations!

Here's the best I can do for tonight.

Now at 4.4 sigma with

 http://abelian.org/vlf/tmp/170321c.gif

S/N 12.8 dB in 55 uHz.

I dropped out the 15th and 17th, each of these
days make the sum worse. But dropping any
of the other days reduces the signal. Therefore
it is repeating each day.

Bearing is definitely east and now there's a bit
more signal it looks like the phase between E/W
loop and E-field is about right. Not much signal
in the N/S and the phase is funny. Behaving like
there's some significant elliptic polarisation.

I can't improve the signal by sliding out of the
range 14:00 to 19:00, nor by increasing or reducing
the 5 hour span.

Not yet added today into the stack.
