Hello Richard,IQ2MI is already transmitting a beacon on 476.180 kHz in QRSS-3. You can see the trace for example at http://www.iup.uni-heidelberg.de/schaefer_vlf/DK7FC_remote_Grabber.html (scroll down) But of course you can add a second one if you like, hopefully in the same range so people can see both beacons on one plot. But for 1W you will not need such a large antenna. 73, Stefan Am 29.01.2016 23:04, schrieb Richard S: Hi,If a chance arose for a powerful traditional MF beacon in Poland would it be of interest, or has WSPR done away with the need for traditional beacons?By powerful, it would be meant the full legal limit (1w!) into a half wave dipole mounted high above ground level (minimum 50m, but possibly in excess of 100m).Your thoughts gentlemen 73s Richard SO5GB |
