Hi Chris,

It should be placed near the motor. But it doesn't matter to much since the motor is running for a few seconds only when doing QSY.
Is the system already built up and working?

Now well on with my motor drive variometer for 136kHz, my question is
how far away from the loading coil base can I realistically insert the
motor drive variometer. I am thinking of weather proofing the
electrics. And with regard to the motor that drives it, should the 1uF
capacitor be across its terminals, or across the output terminals of
the shack situated control circuitry? Or both? I am using the Stefan
DK7FC circuit.

Thanks.
