I would say the beacon is round
the 55 mark, Im using the 38 ft vertical , un
tuned , into the ft-897 with the pre -amp 'off'
, the local bc radio is cross modding the rx if I
use the tuner etc .. may be not as strong as the last
time you ran ssb , usual deep qsb , but the audio
is fine

Nb as more stations are tuned to 500 ,
perhaps one night you could run the psk sounder again
?
