PS: I admit, the screen becomes a bit flat then, like Loriot's
superscope! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ln5zXRaLvAY

Hi Markus,
I've just checked it with my smartphone which also has a resolution of
1024x600.
There is a large grabber window on
http://www.iup.uni-heidelberg.de/schaefer_vlf/DK7FC_remote_Grabber.html
now, for testing.
The smartphone (being smart!) does automatically scale the image so it
fits into the display, without a slider and the necesesseraritirtity to
move it.
Maybe this function is available to all these days?

Stefan,
for me, rather not ... I'm mostly
using a netbook which has a 1024 x 600 screen. The latest and often
most interesting part of the spectrogram is usually on the right hand
side.

Subject: LF: Todays monitor size
Hi all,
A few years ago we had the discussion about ideal size for grabber
/spectrogram dimensions. The consensus was 1024 pixels horizontal.
Would you (all) still vote for that size?
Since > 5 years i'm now using a 22'' monitor with a resolution of
1680x1050 pixels. Of yourse it would be much better to have wider
images, covering a longer time...
I would tend to increase the size to 1600 pixels on at least a few
grabber windows.
Opinions please.
