Spectrum at Forest VA, updating every 10 minutes http://46.4.26.83/sp8957_vlf35.png Timing system at Todmorden behaving badly on the E/W loop tonight. Soundcard rate xtal drifting due to drafts. If it drifts too fast the GPS cannot correct it. Emergency measures: plastic bags stuffed into the air vents of the equipment shed, tape over the PC air vents. Tomorrow will shut the PC down and rearrange its innards. There is foam glued over the s/card xtals and baffles to redirect airflow away from them - but it is not good enough. For tonight hopefully the bags and tape will settle it down. At least Bielefeld and Cumiana timing systems are working well tonight. -- Paul Nicholson -- |
