Sorry to disappoint a lot of people who rang and emailed about the books;
both gone I'm afraid. However, since there seems to be a demand I will try
to find some more. Watch this space! Let me try a few more while I'm on a
winning streak:
1955 ed of "Electrical Measurements and Measuring Instruments" B. W. Golding
(the standard BSc(Eng) and City and Guilds textbook - remember?)
1941 ed of "The Practical Wireless Encyclopedia" by (guess who?) F. J. Camm
1942 ed of "Newnes Short-Wave Manual" by (yes, him again) F. J. Camm
All in good nick.
Alan - I've got several of the MIT series including Vol 4 Loran but not for
sale. Can send you extracts if you know what you want. Presume it was Loran
you meant and not really Vol 5 which is "Pulse Generators" (Oh, I don't
know though!!)
While talking books I strongly recommend Robert Buderi's book "The
Invention that changed the world - the story of radar from war to
peace". One of the best researched books on the subject I've read (and
I've read a lot); technically and historically accurate. Waterstone's can
supply if asked.
