Hi Mal,

Thew main difference between ARGO and most other software (including QRS)
is that these last are running idle 99% of the time, so they cause hardly
any "CPU load". ARGO on the contrary does a lot of maths and
soundcard I/O transfer, so it can be a heavy load to the CPU especially
at slower machines (166MHz may sound fast, but 2.5GHz and more is todays
standard).
It may help if you can turn off any other software (don't forget all the
stuff that is started when you launch Windows).
