I have been watching this frequency for the past several nights (except
last night); there are plenty of Loran lines within a range of +/- 70Hz,
some of which look like a regular series of dashes because they are
actually two very closely spaced lines beating together. I have not seen
anything that looks as if it could be a signal from Vlad, which is not so
surprising considering the QRN level, which unfortunately seems to reach a
maximum around midnight, which is when the signals from RU6LA seemed to
peak - it blots out most of the Loran lines as well. I expect it should be
possible to copy Vlad when conditions are a bit quieter, but it is a bit
frustrating!
I am using DL4YHF's Spec Lab set for a span of +/- 100Hz around 136.1kHz,
which covers the possible range of frequencies with a margin for error -
with the waterfall expanded to full screen, and about 0.3Hz resolution, it
does not seem to miss anything.
I will be looking out again tonight.
