Dear LF Group,
Thanks to PA0SE for the transmissions from the vintage Hellschreiber
machine - both transmissions were perfect copy here, using IZ8BLY's
software. I was also able to get reasonable copy of DF0WD's Hell signals at
times, up to about R4 in CW terms (see attachment for a snippet of both
stations). Faint traces of Hell signal were also seen from DF6NM and DK8KW,
but were not readable. It was certainly an occasion for a widely varied
mixture of techniques and equipment, as seems to happen quite often on LF!
Conditions were exceptionally good for summer time, with almost no QRN
until Sunday afternoon. I had several other QSOs, including DN1VLF in QRSS,
a new callsign to me, and also heard G3FYX in QSO with G3XDV. Roy's signal
was quite weak but readable, about 549, but I did not try to call him
because there seemed to be another QSO going on between some European
stations on the same frequency.
Cheers, Jim Moritz

PS - I also found the reflector did not like having 2 images as
attachments, even though they were quite small - hopefully, combining them
into 1 file should do the trick.
