Hi Mauro,

I am not sure you are asking the right question. Do you think that 
digital modes will give you better reception or more stations than 
QRSS? If you can't receive other QRSS stations, you may not get any 
improvement from data modes. 

When you refer to DK7FC's beacon, do you mean QRSS3 or the slower DX 
mode like QRSS60 (60 second dots)? If you can only receive Stefan's 
QRSS60, it would be much better to try to improve your station than 
changing modes. With a good station, you should be able to receive 
several QRSS3 stations around Europe (137.700kHz), and QRSS60 
stations from the US and Russia (around 137.777kHz). 

If you have a high local noise, a directional antenna may work better 
than the mini-whip. Is the mini-whip set up correctly? It is possible 
for noise to be accidentally introduced onto the coax.

The only advantage to be gained from data modes is that you can 
'receive' the stations when you are away from the shack. There is 
little, if any improvement in the reception of very weak signals.
