Thank you Laurence for the report, capture and illustration, much apprechiated.

It is a most interesting path and i am glad to allow us to find some more experience about how propagation behaves to that time on 136 kHz. K index is about 2 in average so i was wondering that the signal appeared in KL7 at all. DCF39 was about 10 dB lower at VE7TIL and with much more QSB..
The path to Japan was closed yesterday, although DCF showed up nicely at JA8SCD (http://icas.to/argo/eu.htm). Odd...
If the path is open, the band opens to JA at already 14 UTC so i will be on air soon again. Almost 20 hours on air per day these days ;-)
I set up the grabber grabber (QRSS archiver program) and will run through the captures. Maybe something will show up.
Now "out of office" for today, CU tomorrow.
