I am very sad.

Peter was one of the pionner on 136 and we had many CW xband QSO.

Also this fantastic normal CW QSO with him the 28 march 1998, crossband 73.3 kHz / 3663 kHz. I am now looking at his QSL for this event, showing his station and his very large tuning coil in the shack !

I remember also his TA on LF 136, I was listening that on live !

But, yes Mike, as you said : a real gentleman !

Andy, F6CNI.

I have been informed that Peter Dodd, G3LDO, died last night.

Peter was very active in the early days of LF, making the first two-
way QSO on 73kHz and being part of a very early transatlantic
contact on the 136kHz band. He compiled several early collections of
articles on low frequency operating, including The LF Experimenter's
Handbook which was published by the RSGB in 2000.

Many of you will also know his numerous books and articles on
antennas.

Those who met him will remember him as a real gentleman. I had the
privilege to work with him on RadCom and various books.

A sad loss to amateur radio.

Mike, G3XDV
