Hi Laurence,

Nice winther report, thanks. For me, 1.5m snow is hard to imagine. Must be very exciting out there. -27 C is an adventure itselfe :-) We both should do a  /p experiment on LF and/or VLF somewhere in that world!:-)

OK about the best S/N. Now you may improve the N, i.e. bring it down :-)

And what about your planned baverage? Maybe easier in the WX conds. And you always have a line where you can find the way back to the shack :-)

Good luck and fun. I'm envious and want to work there as well. We could run my TX there in Heidelberg via remote. The IP is 126.22.675.xxx HI...

Stefan - Have been off for a day or so as Ive been repairing and replacing cables - replaced the 2 years "in the woods"  VLF loop with the larger variant (less than 1dB improvement only so I know Im at the max s/n I can do here) and sorting out the divide GPS ref sources, plus mitigating some common mode noise issues.

Over the Pole has been rubbish but appears better this morning here at dawn - Difficult working conditons with continuous falling snow  some 1.5m or more makes carrying equipment and dropping tools a bit of a game. Hunt the pliers in snow drifts easier with a metal detector or wait till Spring and see what appears.

Cheers all
