Hi Steinar,
Here is my new grab:

Fine thanks!
My loc is JO59JQ
http://no.nonsense.ee/qthmap/?qth=JO59JQ&from=jn49ik00wd Nice path. I
like scandinavia and know many young people here learning Swedish or so.
Many habe been there for a practical semester.
Yes , I have some TXing plans, but not right now. I have to be finished
with some other project first.
Hurry, now its the season! :-) On the xmas week there is the most acty
of the year. It has been impressive last years and i was sad not to
participate but this year.... :-)
By the way, What kind of setting (FFT, Audio I/O etc) are you using in
Spectrum Lab for this resolution:
http://www.iup.uni-heidelberg.de/schaefer_vlf/EU60.jpg ?
Since i use a down converter (like TF3HZ, G4WGT, 4X1RF...) with an LO of
125 kHz, my IF is 11172 Hz. So i have to use SpecLab internal filters
and a high dynamic range due to the wideband characteristic of the RX.
If you use a normal HF RX with an SSB filter it is less critical but
you will have a drift and an offset and so. Anyway this may be no problem.
I use 22 mHz "width of one FFT bin", about 22 mHz. 10 seconds per pixel
and a noise blanker that mustn't see the carrier of DCF39 and HGA22.
Filter ramp time is 2 ms, trigger peak/avrg is 9 dB. These are the
important settings. Ah and enabled "one pixel per FFT bin" and so on. On
LF its not so useful to send predefined usr files since the IF is often
different.
Hope this helps?
Ah and you can automatically generate the jpg files within SpecLaband
upload it to your dropbox. If the link is always the same then the old
file gets overwritten by the new one and so the picture is auto
updating. If you then embedd this in a html file, there you have your
grabber! :-)
