Hi Chris/Henny/LF
I shall never get started on the job I wanted to do today so I have
re-joined the ZEVS monitors.
The inter sked transmission I saw yesterday may have looked odd due
to the message using all high tones like the one today. These
occurrences are not unknown but rare-er.
Just a thought the Alpha beacons are off again, maybe a little more
comms is necessary. Without going into my theory of navigation
beacon denial, oh I have said it. If they can turn the navigation
off for long periods lately and carry on without them, why do they
bother to use them at all.
Oh got it, maybe they have the Captains XYL on board and she is
doing the navigating.

Hi Henny - the time is certainly different but the format looks
the same to me: 82 Hz for four minutes to start, followed by three
4 minute tones of 82.4, 82.8 and 83. These three 'message' tones
are then always (for recent transmissions) followed by 4 minutes
at 80.8 - then the three tones are repeated and the signal goes
back to 82 Hz for an hour.
Eddie G3ZJO has identified that signals seem to made up from 12
tones from 80.8 to 83.0 at 0.2 Hz intervals, where the first and
last is always 82Hz and the mid-tone is always 80.8. The three
'message' tones are repeated.
Will be interesting to see if the 1700UTC transmission is still on
schedule.
