Hello Wolf,

Very good. We (especially the TX stations) are looking forward to this new SL version! I am curious about the accuracy that can be achieved. Maybe a clear trace in DFCW60000, we'll see :-)

What a day!!

PS:OT, was running 21.1 km in 1:59:16 h:mm:ss

Hey Eddie,

Take a look on your wideband grabber ;-) Then you see, GQD wasn't off during the last hours...

Help is on the way soon: I have added the option in SL to tie the soundcard's sampling rate to a GPS receiver. Initial tests look promising: The output timing jitter from a Garming GPS 18x LVC (emphasis on LVC) seems to be much better (lower) than the +/-1 us accuracy specified by the manufacturer. I bought mine for 60 Euro from RS Components (p/n 010-00321-36). Details on how to set it up later. I am still working on a decoder for the NMEA bitstream via soundcard (same channel as the PPS signal). With that, a carrier would remain coherent even after a 'glitch' from the soundcard.

GPS is less likely to be switched off temporarily - even with the 'jamming tests' mentioned here a few weeks ago.

Have a nice sunday,
 73, Wolf DL4YHF .
