BTW, my special permission for a 300m kite vertical becomes more
probably in the last time. Maybe i will get it in the summer, what is
not optimal. But in that time i can make several tests and become
experience with such high antennas. This will be useful for the
autumn/winther time later. First i will try to make tests with a 200m
vertical. Here a first test could be, to let the coil as it is and just
increase the wire length. This means, i have 2x C and thus 0,7x f, so i
can transmit on 6,3 kHz. Extreme dreaming! ;-)
What about transmissions on 6,3 kHz, the 47km band? What about the noise
there? Would reception be possible in your distance? What about
propagation and ionospheric modes? Other, more preferable frequencies?
For the weekend, the wx forecast is not very promising but i hope things
will change...

I can't say at the moment. My rx is undergoing some major
alterations to hardware and software and the calibration is
void. I expect the background will have increased, but by how
much? I will try to get things back in order by the weekend.
Too bad about the weather.
I would like to see transmissions from base stations. Even
though the ERP is much lower, long transmissions become possible
and it would be interesting to try very long integrations (days).
Meanwhile, I look forward to the next test, whenever the weather
permits.
