Roger,
I found Wolfgang, DL4YHF, has writting a GUI program to run WOLF
(originally it was command line only) and it's available here:
http://freenet-homepage.de/dl4yhf/wolf/index.html
actual download URL:
http://freenet-homepage.de/dl4yhf/wolf/wolf_gui_060118.zip
I simply unzipped it and ran the WOLF_GUI.exe file.
I set the centre frequency to 1kHz (the tab "Wolf config" has settings
for TX and RX centre frequency) and then back on the main tab clicked
the "RX" button. Tune the RX in USB mode to 502.5000 and you should see
a coloured line in the center of the waterfall (Jim's signal) then after
12 seconds or so some decoded stuff should appear.
I can't help any more than that, yet.
Cheers,
John

*Newbie help please.....*
As I'd like to try listening to the WOLF transmissions people are sending on
500kHz, can someone give me a link or two to *suitable software and
installation instructions *please? Is there the equivalent of K1JT's WSPR
software than simply installs and runs? At this stage I am only interested
in receiving.
I assume that a reasonable XP laptop and a SignaLink USB are all that I need
in addition to my FT817, as for WSPR.
