Yes, I use one all the time. The problem is usually the receiver, the Wellbrook will easily overload even the best receivers with broadcast signals as most don't have any front-end selectivity below 1.6MHz. Try a 500kHz tuned circuit between the loop and the RX.

    I've got a ALA 1530 Wellbrook Loop, is anyone using one of these
    for 500kHz monitoring?, although I can hear NDB's nothing on 500kHz.

Thanks Dave, I'll have a go, just for interest, how have you got yours mounted?, do you find you need a rotator?
