As Managing Editor of RadCom in the 1990s (and having worked in the
RadCom office as a freelance temp for several months recently) I can
confirm the comments by Rik and Alan that the content is very much
governed by what members send in. The Editor is always desperate for
good (preferably simple) construction articles, but very few are
submitted despite numerous requests. Efforts have been made to
include regular construction columns, such as the excellent new one
by Andy, G4JNT.

A specialist interest column is included only when an individual is
prepared to write it regularly. Thanks to Dave, G3YXM, LF is
represented. Perhaps someone from the satellite fraternity could make
a similar commitment.

There was a good response when I asked for 500kHz construction
projects for my book LF Today. There should be no shortage of
potential contributors to RadCom on this subject. You even get paid
for your troubles.

Solution. Don't grumble here (waste of time). Instead write to the
Editor with your views. Better still, offer to write a column or one-
off construction article.
