Hi Chris
I would confirm the cross band QSO today Monday 27
Dec 2010 between 1140 and 1200 UTC with me transmitting on 145.525 MHz and your
VLF transmission on 8.972 kHz. Your message read "M0JXM G3XIZ 594
594 KN". Your QRSS 3 signal strength was strong except when QRM from
the nearby East Coast Main Line electric railway trains triggered the AGC on my
Winrad software, causing it to appear weakened and sometimes broken, making it
hard to differentiate between dots and dashes.
My aerial system is a PA0RDT miniwhip elongated to
150mm, feeding the Line-in Realtek High Definition soundcard in my Dell computer
running under Vista, via protection crossed diodes
I reget that finger trouble this end caused me to
loose the Winrad screen shots. I forgot the shot was deposited on
the scratch file (Senior moment). Better luck next
time.
Bad luck about the loading coil, I hope you
will soon get it repaired.

Thanks for your efforts chaps.
I had definite QRSS-3 confirmation
from Dennis M0JXM at 1.5 km but Pete M0FMT at 11 km had no copy.
I
have developed an intermittent short-circuit problem with the loading coil and
will QRT now.
I'll notify via the reflector when transmitting
again.
