I have also made several CW calls with little success. However, when
I was called by F6BWO I could not read him because of the chatter
from Rugby Loran which is 100km away. In the past, I have had several
successful CW QSOs with F6BWO. By contrast, he is a very good signal
(dogbones) on QRSS where Loran does not affect readability unless a
signal coincides with a Loran line.

The readability of most CW stations outside the UK is badly affected
by this QRM. This greatly restricts the number of stations workable
on CW compared to QRSS, particularly as some UK stations (eg G3YXM)
are much nearer to Rugby than I am.

I support Chris's suggestion of a CW activity period as this might
attract some new listeners on 136kHz. Once a month, or a one-off,
with some pre-publicity?
