Wolf,
How about a big antenna with a rectifier/regulator ran off the antenna for some free shack power?? Mike

Hi Mike,

Yes I was tempted by that thought. But the rectifier would cause harmonic currents in the antenna wire, badly affecting by reception on LF (whow, back on topic..).

So I will continue illuminating and heating the shack the usual way !

Nice sunday everyone,
 Wolf DL4YHF .

    Greetings all,

Gary you are lucky to receive the signal with "only" S9+10.
I am only 8 wavelengths away from the transmitter, and the signal
completely swamps the 'natural radio' signals (whistlers etc) which I
try to receive occasionally. Looks like I must build a new active
antenna with sharp lowpass or notch filter before the amplifier,
    because
this new bird is going to stay !
