John Andrews schrieb: Wolf,WOLF now optionally runs faster (at 5 or even 2.5 symbols/seconds, besides the default 10),and also faster (with 20 or 40 symbols/second).Should that first "faster" actually be "slower?" John A. Hi John,Yes, of course 5 or 2.5 symbols is *slower* than the original WOLF implementation. The goal was to squeeze a few dBs less required SNR out of it. Whether this helps on a really weak signal has still to be proven - because WOLF can already integrate over a larger number of blocks. If it runs slower, it also has less previously accumulated data bits from previous blocks. 73, Wolf DL4YHF .P.S. Ko- no copy on "half speed WOLF" on 3597 kHz yet. The RTTY contesters are a bit too strong still. |
