That would be a good time for Dex to fire up a big amp into his monster flattop on 136kc. My loops tuning changes at night also. Don't remember which way but it certainly changed every night. Not far enough to cause problems but enough to see local radiated signals change from daytime. I'll see what I can do as far as radiating a big signal by then. All the parts are here but laying in a pile on my bench as usual...

WD2XDW is on 137.775-137.7755 stepping up staircase carrier - 90 sec or so duration - 1Kw output. NO DCF39 when I listened but it stil a "lit" part for the most parton that path

Thunderstorms in vicinity to may have to qrt but I think they are declining tonight near a stalled cold front.

First airing of the Jim BMU tuning meter this evening - and its marvellous to watch the vairation in phase during the day which from the first 24 hours definately has a cyclic quality with the loop going capacitive at night when the temp drops from close to 100F at 51 pc rel humidty down to 81F and 70 pc or greater - mind you it may be the G2/3 mica caps changing C as it cools out there but I dont think so.

Namibia -

Early prelim warning of a possible LF DXpedition to V51 in Late Feb early March 2006 - although in earlies of planning stages I hope to get a few days listening and possible X banding in if poss. Location will be in the moutains at 5500ft asl near Aris about 15 miles South of Windhoek the capital of Namibia in Southern Africa - Ill be there teaching "radio" and doing some refub work on the charities HF radio system. I had fun working back to Europe on 6m with 2 Watts last time I was in situ so hope to hear/see something. Never say never..
