Hello everyone,
Just a quick reminder that coming Saturday (Aug 24) there will be a hamfest in Bad Bentheim, close to the PA/DL border, near Enschede. It would be nice to meet some friends of LF there. If you are planning to go there: I will be QRV on 439.475 MHz (FM simplex) between 9:00 and 12:00 (local). Or any other meeting frequency... suggestions or locations to meet please. If you see a dealer selling small metal boxes (5 cm * 5 cm * 1.5 cm) labelled "Quosz. 770810 - 10M" - "10MHz 12V= +- 10%" ... BUY THEM ! The guy selling these units doesn't know exactly what they are (cost 10 Euros in Friedrichshafen), in fact they are nice OCXO's, heating up in 10...15 minutes, and rock-solid in frequency. Pinout: 1 = 10 MHz output, 2 = ground for heater+XO, 3= 12 Volts/250 mA, 4=unknown (maybe it was a tuning voltage but no effect here). Compared to TV-sync 15.625 kHz * 640, my unit is about 0.2 Hz off, without any calibration. Hope to CU in Bad Bentheim, kind regards, Wolf DL4YHF.
