I never experienced any problem with engineer installed BT ADSL effecting any radio, or visa versa. I was however on a relatively low-loss path to the exchange, and so was operating at relatively low power. I am told that when you turn of the ADSL modem, the system goes into a power down state which is presumably even quieter, but my system was always left on. I have since moved to cable, and that does not give any problem either.
