Frustrating isn't it?

However, my full-size dipole has been up during the december storm, and
it works very well in RX mode and should (I hope) work in TX mode as
soon as the amplifier is finished.

For the time being, I have one quarter of the antenna on the earth, and
no, it doesn't work so well in RX in such a configuration.

'Have to go back up the poles again...

P.S. I remember my first QSO with a 10m dipole struck on the ceiling of
my bedroom with pins... I think my first QSO was with a US station, on
14 CW, before I contacted 3DA0 something with just 10 watts and an
interior aerial...

This reminds me of the day I got my licence. It was January and it
had snowed the previous night. Excited by the new licence, I had
several successful 160m CW QSOs before I found that the antenna
was buried under several cm of snow.
