Dr Stefan:

On the last night of DK7FC receptions in EA2HB WSPR were distributed as follows:

20h-1 Spot / 21h-4 Spots / 22h-4 Spots / 23h-2 Spots / 00h-6 Spots / 01h-2 Spots
02h-9 Spots / 03h-1 Spot

Spots of the 02 hours, plus the most numerous, were the most consistent in the SNR.

You estimate, reasonable use the Slot 02-03 UTC to try QSO, or perform a new test WSPR tonight to confirm trends?

The Slot 00-01 with 6 spots has not been bad, but the SNR was worse.

I hope your stories before you lose an hour of sleep to no avail.

MF,

To my big surprise there were 2 decodes at WD2XSH/17 last night on 630m. The QRN was terrible last night and there was a LOT of rain so the losses were high, hence the ERP was quite low!

It is the 21st of June, which is the shortest night in the year here! Anyway there was a propagation like in winter! Interesting. Could be due to the small area in darkness in the northern hemisphere? Once again, another example that shows it is alway worth to expect miracles!
BTW it's winter in VK! :-)

630m to Spain:

Also successful detections at EA2HB with best an SNR up to -19 dB, average about -23 dB. The database shows that the best time is arround 0 UTC. But due to the QRN, this night is not very representative. Anyway, promising!
