An even better one is not to retrieve e-mails with Microsoft software.
Agent from www.forteinc.com is a first class safe newsreader/e-mail application.
I have always used Netscape both as browser and as mail client.
I like the integration between the two functions.
Never caught a virus (or a flu...).
There is no place for Internet Exploder or Outlook in my PC.
