Dear Dave, LF Group,
The Rugby Loran lines are at frequencies of n x 1 / (2 x 63710us), or n x
7.4283167434259396820680433813698Hz (give or take), where n is an integer,
and 63710us is the GRI of the Lessay chain. For this one, n is 18548, the
frequency is 137780.418957 to the nearest micro-hertz :-)
When I did the above division on my inexpensive solar-powered calculator,
I got 7.8480615 Hz, not 7.4283167 etc Hz. Is this another case of can't
see the forest for the trees or should the GRI be 6731 instead of 6371?
I bet you took so much care to make sure you typed in the 32-digit number
correctly you shifted the typo to the other number (2 places!), right?

now watch me have to eat crow :-)
