Switching regulator - as a contrast to Switch-Mode type, I suppose he used the 
wrong German word, since it is most likely he meant the latter expression

I have a local power supply beacon on 136.5kHz. Suppose it is from the power 
supply, but I haven't been able to switch to spread spectrum clock in BIOS of 
my IBM Aptiva PC
