Dear Larry an LF group,>I am unable to visualize your wire loop concept..... The corona rings I am using look something like the attached drawing. The idea came from high voltage power lines, which often have something similar. Although I am using PA0SE's ceramic insulators for stand-offs, I use little 100mm long plastic insulators for the main span of the wire, because they are lighter and reduce sag.
