Hi John, interesting.....thanks for the plug :-)) Good nights rarely occur when Dst is lower but are not guaranteed when it is at or higher than -20nT. I still haven't got a grip on that on the level of variation at high Dst.

I certainly remember playing AFRICAM with Larry. I still have one of Bill's sigma-delta ADCs here.though I didnt have GPS sync then. Brian CT1DRP ran GPS sync QRSS and DFCW using one of Andy's design synthersisers and some code I wrote to key it. Then came WOLF.......no not he of the amazing technicolour Spectrum Lab.... the weak signal mode. :-))

Best Wishes
Alan

Stefan,

A -6 dB SNR would definitely have been CW copy had I not been:
1. 200 km away.
2. Asleep.

Anyway, it was a good night. I note with interest that this was the first night in some time that the Dst rose above Alan's magic -20nT number. That might be a coincidence, but I don't thing so...

Hi all,

Last night there were excellent condx on 630m on the TA path! G8HUH,
F5WK and DK7FC managed to be decoded in above 5000 km in WSPR.

I've got exceptional good SNR reports!:

-6 dB by W1TAG/1 means that many weaker stations could have made the
path as well, in that time slot!
