Hello John and LF

Over the holiday weekend I heard "GD" transmitted in cw like a beacon,
at a very steady 559 on many occasions. According to my analogue dial
the frequency was about 498khz. Wonder if this could be the same
station you have heard John. I have QRN tonight so no chance of me
capturing anything until neighbours go to bed !!

By the way many thanks to the many 500 UK beacons on air recently, they
gave me encouragement to "keep trying" to find a way to kill the QRN
from neighbours appliances rather than "give up". I captured
DPE,PDN,SLV,HXO,WGT,LDO,XIZ,ZWH,KEV and maybe more... it was very
exciting whilst it lasted!

Hello LF,

I had my RX tuned to 499.9 by accident and the volume turned fairly low
but at 1851 I heard some CW, from somewhere... it took a few seconds to
realise which of the 3 receivers it was emanating from. By the time I'd
realized it was the IC718 RX, on 499.9, it had stopped.

The grabber currently shows 498-504 and the short call was evident on
500kHz between the minute markers for 1851 and 1852.

Question now is... where was it from? I didn't get a chance to read
anything as I wasn't really aware of it until it was too late!

John
