Hi Nigel,

According to the interface deatails in QRS.EXE, parallel or serial can be used.

serial - RTS = key, DTR = PTT/DFCW

parallel - DB0 = key, DB1 = PTT/DFCW

using same interface. So just made a lead up to match those connections
Hi Gary
That's an interesting way of making things universal, do you have to tell it whether you're using a parallel or serial port?
It's a long shot on something that seems so straightforward, but have you checked the parallel port settings in the BIOS?
If it's set to anything other than SPP, standard parallel port, that can cause problems if it doesn't see the handshaking the enhanced options sometimes look for.
regards
nigel
