Roelof,

I cannot agree, a Belgian beer can will provide at least 10dB better SNR ;-)

Now serious: I have been thinking about a simple but good RX antenna for LF, MF and the lower HF range and you mini-whip seems the right solution. But will the preamp survive when pumping a few 100W into my 500kHz TX antenna (lazy-L) that will be only 25m away ?

Hello Alberto,

I am not much in beer myself, but there seems to be a famous Dutch brand,
that I can recommend!
