Echolink - one of the new IP based radio communication tools

http://www.synergenics.com/ - you can download from there

Basically using a radio thru a local "node" often simplex two/432/70 Mhz gateways to communicate via the IP network worldwide.to other hams/pc's repeaters...or direct PC to PC via dial up/cable to get to other repeaters (GB3IE/BC or what ever) or ham links, such as G4FKK-L (martins 4m link in south london) You need a PC/laptop, a dial up cable connection speak and
microphone and away you go

And it will work well on a connection of 26 K as is my case
good audio quality PC to PC and if connecting to a high speed
DSL user he can conference 5/7 folks at once. I see no reason why you couldn't connect your rcvr to one end and ARGO to the other
to create a really remote rcv site. Would allow true real time viewing
from Alaska to GB as example
