Hello all,
I had a 72kHz contact with M0BMU at 1200UTC The GI3PDN and MI0AYZ operation from a disused Decca site came on the air at around 1300UTC. When I first heard them they were in contact with G4GVC, first 72/136kHz cross band then a two-way 72kHz contact.

I then had a contact MI0AYZ/P at 1445 (they are using Ean's call for 72kHz because he has the NOV) my report 429 and he was 539 on 71.93kHz. I tried to alert M0BMU but I didn't have the phone number and he cannot be reached via BT telephone enquiries.

They then tried 136kHz but there are serious problems on receive, some sort of noise that overwhealms the receiver.

The plan is to go on 72kHz at around 0800UTC tomorrow and work as many stations as possible, then try and resolve the receive problems on 136kHz. The antenna is 55m high with a 200m top so receiver overload might be the proble. Some advice from the Puckerage group might be in order. (on the reflector or number below).

The locator is IO64TL.

Ray's home telephone number (for advice re receivers) is 02894 432995.
