Hi all,
This is prompted by the question from Uwe regarding his lead acid batteries.
This site (with which I have no connection) is obviously run as part of a PR
initiative by a commercial company but seems to have much unbiased knowledge
and good sense on a range of battery topics.
I personally found it quite interesting and it places a wide range of
battery topics in a single place of reference.

Hi Pat,
the "Battery University" has it:
Always store lead acid in a charged condition. Never let the open cell voltage
drop much below 2.10V. Apply a topping charge every six months or when
recommended.
