Hi Stefan, no, we normally don't engage noise blanking on ELF, mostly because it would cause splatter around the strong 50 Hz line. By the way, the observed maxima don't seem to agee well with nominal Schumann frequencies as published in Wikipedia, based on a sqrt(n*(n+1)) formula. A simple set of equispaced frequencies (1.6+n*6.2) Hz appear to provide a better fit. Edgar pointed me to the idea to enable "show radio station list" in SpecLab, which is now done. I added just 6 markers, although a 7th trace is actually visible here as well, with poor SNR though. This leads me to the question if a noise blanker with high peak/average (blanking only strong local bursrs) threshold could be useful to improve the Schumann SNR.
