Just to give you an idea, my distance records on MF (2-way QSO):

CW = 1849km (9H9ES)

QRSS3 = 4073km (VX9MRC)

JT9-2 = 1851km (9H1BT)

WSQ = 1476km (IZ7SLZ)

The 2 last records are definitely limited by the "audience", not by propagation.
