Roelof ,
The system is based on 2.4 KHz b/w ,
Good set of results , over a 7 hour window ,
Building on the op32 act, If Joe could run op32 , at 500 hz HF to
centre on the 2khz setting , and start much earlier and stop later ,
the extra db sensitivity , would give a much wider window and possibly
enhanced range ..
Glad the system ran ran well for you,
73-Graham
NB don't use a narrow filter to feed audio to Opera , that will
degrade the low s/n performance ! 2.4k ssb usb or lsb , or cw 2.4
bfo -/+ 1500 hz

Hello Graham,
Thank you for the accumulated results of last night's 477 VO1NA OP8
reception. Results are promising as propagation was rather mediocre.
I find it amazing how well the cheap RTL-SDR V3 dongle worked.
Is the signal to noise figure referenced to a bandwidth of 2500 Hz?
If so, using a 12 Hz filter for aural copy, yields an improvement of
about 23 dB.
