LF: PL259 connectors

Many thanks, everybody. Yes, compatibility with existing equipment is vital
and the cheap versions of the connectors just don't seem to be reliable
enough. If you drive 300 miles to do some experiments, it is worth having a
better standard of connector. It is also less likely to let you down in
front of the client..
