Hi Roelof the transpolar route is certainly odd and there are more effects there. They get the precipitation first and then it diffuses south. It can be two days after an event before lower latitude paths are affected and similarly they recover later. The time the trans-polar paths get hit is when there is a proton event. You can never know all about this, but it is nice to know a little and realise how much you dont know :-)) Alan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Roelof Bakker" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, November 03, 2011 9:36 PM Subject: Re: LF: Re: Over the Pole - towards Eu > Hello Alan, > > Thank you for your answer. > In this case propagation from the north was effected. > For Canadian NDB's on lower latitudes propagation is way down compared to > July/August. > > Anyway it is interesting to find out how propagation is effected by an > active sun. > > 73, > Roelof, pa0rdt > |
