Has noone thought of using a small hot air balloon. Use a paraffin primus stove below the canopy to create the hot air, or a small light weight aliminum gaz stove to do the same thing. This would be a cheaper option compared to expensive helium gas.
Maybe someone in this business could design a canopy to work with these stoves.
If I needed this sort of facility for an airborne antenna I would be experimenting to perfect such a contraption.
