RU6LA QRSS Tests 9 November 2002 (pm)
I ran Argo continuously from 1320 to 2335UTC on Saturday 9, and took
captures every 4 minutes.
All stations sending QRSS3 except where shown. Here's the log:
1400: IK5ZPV calling CQ (signal 'M' to 'O')
1408: RU6LA beaconing with 10W ERP at strength 'M'
1418: Beacon now up to 'O'
1442: Beacon still visible but some fading down to 'M'
1451: SM3EUF/5 calling CQ at 'M'
1516: IK5ZPV and RU6LA both 'M'
1520: SM5EUF/5 now 'O'. RU6LA and IK5ZPV both calling CQ
1535: G3XDV calling RU6LA. No reply
1543: G3XDV changes to 10 second dot length to call again. No reply
1555: SM5EUF/5 calls RU6LA and they exchange 'O' reports
1615: G3XDV calls again, twice, but no reply
1635: RU6LA sends "UP 2HZ"
1643: G3XDV QSYs up 2Hz and calls again but RU6LA just sends CQ
1703: G3XDV QSYs 2Hz up from RU6LA's own frequency and has a QSO, exchanging
'O' reports. Some confusion, and the 10s dot length makes the QSO rather
long at 70 minutes! My best two-way DX
1823: RU6LA replies to F6BWO who called with 10s dots and they exchange 'O'
reports.
1916: OH1TN calling CQ
1950: RU6LA calling CQ. Called by DL3FDO but does not reply
2008: DL3FDO calls again but no reply
2024: RU6LA calling CQ "RX 71-75"
2044: RU6LA calling CQ "RX 71-75" again
2110: DL3FDO calls but no reply
2130: RU6LA puts out several CQs
2201: He is called by PA0BWL
2205: RU6LA sends "AGN" but doubles with PA0BWL
2208: DL3FDO calls again and this time they have a QSO, exchanging 'O'
reports
2240: PA0BWL calls again and gets "9BM?" from RU6LA. PA0BWL calls again and
this time gets an 'M' report and completes a QSO.
2325: RU6LA calls CQ but no-one replies
Nothing more seen of the expedition
